MAYVILLE — Approximately 40 Senior Citizens gathered Sept. 7 for lunch at the Mayville VFW. After lunch Diane Goodrich read the group a few funny stories ending with all reciting the Our Father. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Bonnie Johnson. The Secretary and Treasurer Reports were read and accepted, followed by the Committee Reports.

Jeff Wagner, senior council rep, noted that AARP Driving Classes are being held monthly at Brookdale. Mary Carlson listed September birthdays and anniversaries. Bill Tornstrom noted that at the next meeting was Saturday, Sept. 22, at noon at the Mayville VFW,

Patrick Swanson, Chautauqua County district attorney, will be the speaker. That is our Chicken Barbecue.

The kitchen committee composed of Louise Richir, Anabel Weise, Donna Cummings and Dolly Gilbert was thanked. Door prizes were won by Ernest Farver, Ernestine Cruzado and Richard Hoglund.
