Amish Country Running Festival To Be Held Saturday

More than 100 people are expected to participate in the Amish Country Running Festival on Saturday, Sept. 29, starting at 8 a.m. from the East Randolph Methodist Church.

Runners and walkers traditionally attend from the surrounding areas as well as from Ontario, Canada, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, New Jersey, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma and Maryland.

The race course is as follows: Cemetery Street, Cemetery Road, Walker Road, VanSlyke Road, Harris Road, Seager Hill Road, Northeast Road with turn-around spots for each distance and back same route. The event is held regardless of weather.

The community is invited and encouraged to join us at the East Randolph Methodist Church for a pancake and sausage breakfast followed by a spaghetti and meatball lunch. Donations are accepted. Meals are provided by the East Randolph Methodist Church and all are welcome.

Participants can cheer runners along the route, can take part in one of the 13 aid stations along the route, watch a free concert by the Old Dawg Bluegrass Band under the new pavilion on the East Randolph Methodist Church grounds or take part in the race itselt.
