Chief Sanders complimented and thanked those being recognized for their service and many years of continued membership. The evening began with all joining in the Pledge of Allegiance. Before the actual recognition of those being honored, Chief Sanders asked for a moment silence in respect and honor of all Ingjald Lodge members who passed away this past year. Grand Lodge Vice-Chief Mindy Worden and Past Ingjald Lodge Vice-Chief Jane Fosberg read the names of the 25 and 50 members being honored.

Each honoree was given a pin denoting their years of membership and was congratulated by other Grand Lodge officers. Refreshments were served following the ceremony.

This year marks the 93rd anniversary of Ingjald Lodge receiving its I.O.V. charter May 1, 1925. The Vikings is a fraternal organization with emphasis on Scandinavian heritage. Social membership is open to those of non-Scandinavian heritage.
