Libertarian Party Holds Annual Meeting

The Chautauqua County Libertarian Party held its annual convention recently at the See-Zurh House in Bemus Point.

The Chautauqua County Libertarian Party is a chapter of the Libertarian Party of New York and was formed in 2015 to advance liberty in Chautauqua County.

Chair Andrew Martin Kolstee called the convention to order. The following officers were elected for 2018-2019: Andrew Martin Kolstee as chair and treasurer and Len Morlock as vice chair.

Jim Rosenbeck, newly elected chair of the Libertarian Party of New York, was the speaker to the group. He discussed his vision for the party moving forward, especially with the upcoming election and achieving recognized party status. The chapter is working to promote the gubernatorial campaign of Larry Sharpe by hosting Sharpe while he campaigns in Chautauqua County, petitioning to get him on the ballot in November, and operating a booth at the Chautauqua County Fair.
