The David L. Woodburn Chapter 978 Vietnam Veterans of America has been collecting yarn in the Frewsburg area. The yard was presented to Nicholas Valenti, central district director of the New York State Council VVA, at their quarterly meeting by the Rev. Bob Lewis, president of the Frewsburg VVA Chapter and State Council Chaplain. This yard will be used by the chapter, incarcerated veterans at the Aburn Correctional Facility. Those incarcerated use donated yarn to make knitted items such as hats, mittens, booties, scarves and toys for those in need.
