Jamestown Seniors Hold Tureen Dinner

Jamestown Senior Center members met recently for a tureen dinner at the Tree of Life Church, 556 E. Second St., Jamestown.

The meeting was called to order by Shirley Vandenburg, activities director. The group said the Pledge of Allegiance and sang God Bless America. Birthdays acknowledged were Nancy Wilson and Vandenburg.

Vandenburg said reservations were still needed for the trip to Nashville from Sept. 16-22. A $75 deposit is due now with the balance to be paid by July 1.

The trip to Sprague’s Restaurant on April 11 will leave the Jamestown Community College annex parking lot at 10 a.m.

Yoga classes are being held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays.

Terry Spencer and Ron Wilcox gave door prizes to Ann Nickerson, Nancy Wilson, LeRoy Wilson, Laurel Magnuson, Don Hoglund, Bill Hazenberg and Arvella McKotch.

The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. March 27 with refreshments and a speaker. New members are welcome to join.
