Barb Hanson has been hired as Hillcrest Baptist Church’s preschool ministry education coordinator effective in June. Hanson will be replacing Jeanine Pickard, longtime preschool director who will be retiring in June.

Hanson and her husband Todd have five children and are former Hillcrest preschool parents.

“Barb brings a love for God, a love for children and extensive Preschool leadership and teaching expertise to Hillcrest,” said Mark Hinman, Hillcrest’s lead pastor.

“Her credentials are impressive,” said Jeff Johnson, Hillcrest’s Family Ministries pastor. “She is a certified New York state teacher, has launched a preschool program in Friendship, N.Y., and has served in several key teaching roles in area preschools.

Mrs. Hanson will help to continue Hillcrest’s heritage of quality Christian preschool education.”

Hillcrest Christian Preschool was founded more than 40 years ago and offers morning and afternoon classes Monday through Friday with a developmentally appropriate curriculum promoting language development, and social, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth.
