Shane Dietz, Kiara Marchincin, Andrew Pumford and Cade Pollock comprised the winning team in JCC’s Mathletics competition.

Several area high school students participated in Jamestown Community College’s annual Mathletics contest in October.

Students and their teachers worked in teams to locate and complete math activities that were distributed around campus. The winning team included Shane Dietz of Sheffield Area High School, Kiara Marchincin of Frewsburg Central School, Cade Pollock of Falconer Central School, and Andrew Pumford of Jamestown High School.

The event, sponsored by JCC’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics division, involved students from Falconer, Sheffield, Jamestown, Warren, Frewsburg and Randolph high schools.
