Children Safety Education Village To Host Eighth Annual Halloween Fun Fair

ASHVILLE — The Chautauqua Children’s Safety Education Village is hosting the eighth annual Halloween Fun Fair from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday (rain or shine) at the safety village, 2695 Route 394 in Ashville, next to BOCES.

Children, ages 12 years and under may dress up and trick or treat door to door among the many miniature buildings that make up the Safety Village. Owners and volunteers of the buildings will be dressed in child-friendly costumes to pass out candy.

Optimus Prime and Moana will be available to have their pictures taken with children. There will also be an old-fashioned hay ride from Kim and Tracy Buck, owners of Land-Pro (formerly Z&M Ag and Turf). They can also take a ride on the Safety Village Express train. There will also be face painting, cotton candy and Fowlers taffy.

The cost is $3 for adults, $2 for children ages 3 to 12 and free for children ages 2 and under.

2018 Cash Calendars will be available at the event and through the end of the year for $20. The Safety Village calendars include pictures and information about classes, as well as supporting sponsors. In addition, a drawing is held each week, giving away cash prizes, gift cards and free classes.

Breakfast with Santa will take place at the Safety Village from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 2.

For more information on upcoming events and classes, visit www.childrenssafetyvillage.com or find the village on Facebook.

Proceeds from events help the Safety Village continue providing the hands-on safety training to the children in the community. Annual sponsors include Land-Pro, Better Baked Foods, Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union and Raymore & Flanigan.
