Maple Springs Community Fundraiser Supports Lake, Volunteer Fire Company

MAPLE SPRINGS — The Maple Springs Trash to Treasure Chic Boutique held recently raised more than $2,000 to support local programs and agencies that improve the quality of life for those who live in the hamlet of Maple Springs and the surrounding area.

“We are a small, tight knit community that has come together to show our appreciation for those who help us to maintain the beauty of Maple Springs, the lake and it’s environment, and for those who serve as emergency responders,” said Eileen Leary, Garden Walk Committee chair. “We appreciate the extraordinary support of those who donated items, their time and their energy to make this event a success. This was a community effort and we are grateful to the generous people who participated that day. It was heartwarming!”

Donations were presented to the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and the Maple Springs Volunteer Fire Company toward its ambulance fund, and to the Maple Springs Lake Enhancement Committee.

“This year marked our fifth fundraising event,” Leary said. “In total, we have raised over $12,000 that we have given back to our community. In addition to raising funds, this special occasion has created a wonderful spirit of old fashioned neighborly good will and friendship. We are already planning a new and exciting event for next year.”
