The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Leah, a 4 1/2-year-old spayed brindle bloodhound/lab mix who loves to go on walks or is happy laying out in the sunshine. She seems housetrained and is supposed to be good with older children, cats and some other dogs. She seems like she would bond tightly with her family if they give her the attention she needs. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. or by appointment by calling 326-7297. The 2018 Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue calendar has arrived.
