Donations Needed For Ride-4-Adam Dice Run

WARREN, Pa. — The Ride 4 Adam Dice Run is slated for Sept. 9 in Warren, Pa. The event was created to benefit Adam Albaugh, 23, former resident of Warren.

Albaugh was assaulted on June 26 while in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. for a work assignment. The attack caused him to suffer a brain injury and he was in a coma for a period of time, after which he was moved to a hospital in Reno, Nev., where he made significant progress. Currently, he has been relocated to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Ga., where he continues to make progress.

The doctors are predicting a two-year recovery period, and while insurance will cover some of the cost, some of it will remain uncovered. The Dice Run is meant to help with those costs.

The event includes motorcycles and all other vehicles, and will begin and end at the Warren Eagles Club at 2101 Pennsylvania Ave. E., in Warren Pa.

Registration will occur from 10:30 a.m. until noon. There will be door prizes, food and more. There is a $15 donation per person, and all funds raised will go toward Albaugh’s medical expenses.

The organizers are currently looking for donations of items to raffle, as well as donations to help put on the event. For more information or to donate, call Bill Way at 814-779-3212 or Shelly Hoak at 814-779-1999.
