Harmony Senior Citizens Hold June Meeting

Harmony Senior Citizens held their monthly meeting June 1 at the Panama United Methodist Church with 43 members present for a tureen dinner.

Birthdays were celebrated by Betty Bissell, Joyce Ecker, Dorothy Enlow, Sandy Hoyt, Peachy James, Larry Ostrander, Judy Prechtl, Marjorie Roy, June Walters and Shirley Carlson, eldest member present.

The United Senior Council dinner will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 23. The cost is $12. It was voted and approved that $3 per member will be applied to the cost of the dinner, bringing the cost to Harmony Serniors down to $9.

Reservations and payment due prior to the dinner. Tickets for the Office for the Aging Picnic at Midway Park on Aug. 18 need to be purchased at the July meeting. The cost is $8 per person. The Harmony Seniors will provide a gift card as a donation for the Picnic and a lottery ticket basket for the dinner.

Members were reminded the July 6 meeting at 5 p.m. will be a chicken Barbecue prepared by Sally Hagg. The cost is $8 per person and reservations and payment is due prior to the dinner. Entertainment will be provided. The officers will serve as the food committee. Nominations for officers for the coming year will be accepted at this meeting.
