On Saturday, April 29, Wegmans in Jamestown held an event to celebrate local vendors. The event ran had vendors set up throughout the store sampling their items along with Wegmans KBS Team Members. The event kicked off with a special filleting demonstration in the seafood department. After the demonstration, two Wegmans employees dressed as Lucille Ball and Ricky Ricardo walked through the store taking pictures of the event and with customers. The event was a success due to the support of the following onsite local vendors: Marco Rosso Sauce (formally Coppola’s Sauce) of Bemus Point; Ribbon Road Farm of Sherman; Crystals Honey, of Otto; Alpine Made of Wales; The Basket Company of Jamestown; Southern Tier Brewery of Lakewood; Ellicottville Brewing Company of Ellicottville; Lone Palm Cookie Company of Bemus Point; The Brothers Wood Company of Corry, Pa.; Stedman Coffee Roasters of Lakewood; and Reach Organics of Lakewood. The next event at Wegmans in Jamestown is on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will highlight mouthwatering recipes from the Wegmans Summer Menu Magazine.
