RACDC Ice Cream Social Is May 7

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Area Community Development Corporation will host “My Doll and Me: A Spring Ice Cream Social” on Sunday, May 7, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The event for girls and their dolls will be held at the new fellowship hall of Grace Episcopal Church in Randolph.

Mary Heyl, Randolph Area Community Development Corp. director, said instead of having a tea, as in past American Girl doll events, this will be an ice cream social. The ice cream social is for girls between the ages of five and 12. Heyl said girls can bring their dolls, especially their 18-inch doll or American Girl doll, in her prettiest dress. Moms, grandmas, aunts and friends are invited to join in for an afternoon of fun with their favorite girl and her doll.

Heyl said the event will feature different activities throughout the day including “Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae,” crafts, a doll boutique, and a short historical presentation. An American Girl® doll will be given away. There will also be door prizes for doll accessories, books and more.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for girls. Because the fellowship hall has a sizable capacity, one large seating will be held to accommodate 60-65 guests. Seating is limited, so early reservations are recommended. Contact Heyl by calling 358-9701, ext. 208, or email her at racdc@randolphny.net.

Starting at $3.50/week.
