Emma Meyers, a junior at Southwestern High School, recently received the Bonaventure award during the opening reception for the Quick Center for the Arts Annual High school juried art show. Twenty-one schools entered over 300 works of art into the show, of which 100 were chosen for the exhibit. Of those works, the judges chose four exceptional works and those students were awarded $1,000 scholarships for the college along with various art supplies.
