St. Susan Center will host Soup and a Song on Saturday with Will Russell, left, and Doc Hamels performing.

On Saturday, St. Susan Center will again open its doors to host Soup and a Song.

The entertainment will be provided by Russell & Hamels. Will Russell and Doc Hamels have been playing together since early February 2015, when on a whim, Will texted Doc to see if he was interested in forming a partnership. Doc said yes, and instantly, music flowed and a partnership was formed.

Guests will hear familiar songs from the Byrds, Petty, Beatles, Dylan and other material including folk, rock, country and Celtic tunes done in their own acoustical arrangements. They will hear songs perhaps for the first time that will include original pieces from both writers which were drawn from their own personal experiences.

In addition to a great show, there will be 5 specialty soups (Chicken Wing, Vegetable, Italian Wedding, French Onion and Pasta Soup) created by Murdock’s Restaurant and the Kitchen staff at St. Susan Center

The event runs from 6-8 p.m. at 31 Water Street in Jamestown and tickets are available at the door, $10 for Adults and Children $5 ages (6-12).

All proceeds will benefit St. Susan Center, which has been serving our community since 1984.
