Take A Trip To Alaska By Visiting Audubon’s First Friday Event

Area residents can enjoy a photo journey and stories of their adventure when Deb Lanni, Bruce Fox, Wendy Burns and Bob Ratterman present “Alaska: Kenai Peninsula to Denali” at Audubon Community Nature Center’s First Friday Lunch Bunch on Feb. 3.
The four friends will share tales and images about their “just for fun” trip.
Highlights included visits to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and the Alaska Sea Life Center, a Fjords Cruise, salmon and halibut fishing, a sight-seeing flight and glacier landing, and taking the train to Denali.
Lanni recently retired from her position as professor and media arts program coordinator at Jamestown Community College, where she taught photography, video and multimedia storytelling. Fox is photography and graphics coordinator in the Instructional Resources Department at Buffalo State College, where he works with faculty and staff on digital imaging needs for classroom and research as well as digital photography for college promotion. Burns is Senior Student Services Assistant at the Counseling and Career Center at JCC’s Jamestown campus. Ratterman is Sciences Coordinator and biology professor at JCC’s Cattaraugus County Campus.
A bring-your-own brown bag lunch and conversation follows the program, with coffee and tea provided.
The fee for attending is $8 or $6 for Friends of the Nature Center. Reservations are not required.
