The Association of Piano Teachers hosted their annual Piano Festival recently at First Covenant Church. Twenty-six piano students participated by playing two pieces, scales, arpeggios and sightreading. They also were challenged with rhythm and theory questions. There were three adjudicators: Kerry Byard, Gail Grundstrom and Laura Hotchiss. After the sessions with the adjudicators, a recital was held in which students performed their pieces from the morning sessions. Piano teachers participating in this event were: Julie Anderson, Carolyn Barnes, Gail Grundstrom, Val Nunn and Cindy Robison. Students shown in the recital picture are: Alexis Adam, Harmony Anderson, Alison Bohall, Abby Brunenavs, Adam Chang, Maisy Chang, Timothy Frudd, Elyse Jones, Amelia Sprague, Josiah Sprague, Emily Swan, Lily Uebbing and Mia Young.
