The Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association recently presented a check to the Chautauqua Lake Association to help with lake maintenance.
The $7,000 donation will be used to continue lake health monitoring and for the removal of nuisance aquatic vegetation.
“We appreciate the support that the CLFA shows the CLA and for believing in our mission,” said Doug Conroe, president of the CLA. “The CLFA has increased their annual donation to our organization each year. Fishing is an extremely important activity that we want to protect. We will continue to work with the club in that regard. Their support of our work is very gratifying.”
The Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association has been members of the Chautauqua Lake Association since 2006. Membership to the CLA is always open. Member donations assist with lake maintenance, aquatic vegetation control, floating debris, shoreline and storm cleanup, plus scientific monitoring of the lake’s health. Donations are accepted on the CLA’s website at www.chautauqualakeassociation.com. Planned giving is also accepted. The Eric Westrom Fund is set up through the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation to assist with memorials, bequests and other long-term contributions.
