The Basket Company Moving To Ashville Facility

The Basket Company, a longtime Chautauqua County business known for its gourmet nut mixes, locally made chocolates and nostalgic candies, is relocating to a larger, modern facility at 4718 Cramer Drive, Ashville.

The expansion marks a new chapter in the company’s growth and rebranding efforts.The company was founded in 1999

On Wednesday, June 18, The Basket Company hosted a private tour of the new space, attended by County Executive PJ Wendel, Chautauqua County Tourism Bureau CEO Andrew Nixon, Mark Geise, deputy county executive for economic development and Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency CEO, and Rosie Strandburg, county IDA project manager, as well as Bill Pendor, The Basket Company’s president, and Jon Wood, The Basket Company vice president.

The new facility not only expands production and fulfillment capabilities but also sets the stage for future plans, including a scenic outdoor private event venue, in-house manufacturing of specialty items, and a forthcoming “Build-a-Basket” retail storefront.

“This move represents our commitment to serving our community, our customers, and our wholesale partners with even greater creativity and care,” Wood said. “We look forward to welcoming the public to our new space soon.”

Since 1999, The Basket Company has served customers with custom-designed gift baskets and take-along snacks. The expanded facility will continue to serve individual shoppers and wholesale clients, including wineries, breweries, hotels, casinos, and specialty retailers across the region.
