New Directions Honors Employees
New Directions Youth and Family Services recently honored recipients of the agency’s Milestone Years of Service awards, which recognize individuals who dedicate their careers to helping Western New York children and families receiving New Directions services. Individuals from New Directions’ southern tier programs honored during the third quarter of 2024 are:
– Paula Heyl, 10 years, Youth Support Specialist
– Joseph Kashmer, 5 years, Maintenance Carpenter
New Directions Youth and Family Services recently honored employees with the agency’s annual “Normative Awards”, recognizing employee excellence in the areas of responsibility. At New Directions, respect, responsibility, safety, and goal-centered behavior four norms or standards form the basis of all interactions, creating a guide for behavior across all settings. Employees uphold and assist children and families in living the norms.
Selections are drawn from a quarterly pool of nominations. Local recipient of the 2024 Normative Award recognized for embodying the Responsibility Norm is Gary Learn, maintenance supervisor.
“I want to congratulate our staff receiving awards for this quarter,” said James W. Coder, CEO. “They truly represent the spirit of New Directions and their investment in the mission of the agency is appreciated. As they continue their employment I look forward to their continuing dedication to the people we serve. Thank you all!”
