Triple E Manufacturing & Design Inc. Celebrates 40 Years
SHERMAN – On Tuesday, Triple E Manufacturing & Design Inc. will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a public open house, inviting the community to join in the festivities.
The event will be held at Triple E Mfg and Design Inc. 117 Osborne St., Sherman, from 1 to 3 p.m., and offers an opportunity for attendees to learn about the company’s history and meet its founders, Pam and Dick Watrous, current owner Heather White and the team at Triple E Manufacturing and Design.
Founded in 1984, Triple E Manufacturing & Design Inc. has grown into a leading manufacturer of high-quality equine products and custom apparel. The company’s story is a testament to the dedication and hard work of its founders, Pam and Dick Watrous, who started the business with a vision to create durable, reliable, and innovative products for the equine industry.
THE HISTORY OF TRIPLE
E MANUFACTURING & DESIGN INC.
In the early days, Triple E started in a modest workshop with just a few sewing machines and a handful of employees. The initial focus was on producing durable, functional, and comfortable halters, bridles, and other essential equine tack. The company quickly gained a reputation for its attention to detail and commitment to quality, attracting a loyal customer base within the local equestrian community.
As word spread about the exceptional quality of Triple E products, the company began to expand. By the late 1980s, Triple E had outgrown its original workshop and moved to a larger facility to accommodate the increasing demand. This period saw the introduction of innovative designs and the use of new materials, further enhancing the durability and functionality of their products.
In the 1990s, Triple E diversified its product line to include custom-printed apparel. This new venture allowed the company to cater to a broader market, providing personalized clothing for businesses, sports teams, and special events. The print department quickly became a significant part of the business, known for its high-quality prints and custom designs.
The 2000s marked a period of technological advancement for Triple E. The company invested in state-of-the-art equipment for both its equine products and custom apparel lines. This investment enabled the production of more complex and intricate designs, as well as improved efficiency and scalability.
Recently, Triple E has added engraving services to its repertoire. This new capability allows the company to offer customized plaques, tumblers, trophies, and a variety of other items. The engraving services have been well received, opening new avenues for customer engagement and satisfaction.
After many years of dedicated service, Dick and Pam Watrous have begun the retirement process, leaving the legacy of Triple E Manufacturing & Design Inc. in the hands of their daughter, Heather White. That means Triple E has become a woman-owned business, with White’s vision to ensure that Triple E remains a trusted name in the equine and custom apparel industries, committed to quality, community, and customer satisfaction.
The open house will feature a tour of the manufacturing facilities, showcasing the production process of the company’s renowned products. Attendees will also have the chance to view old photographs, hear testimonials from long-time employees, and have hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
“We are incredibly proud of how far Triple E has come over the past 40 years,” company officials said in a news release. “This anniversary is not just a celebration of our achievements, but also a way to thank our dedicated employees, loyal customers, and the supportive community that has been with us throughout this journey. We started this company with a simple goal – to produce the best equine products on the market. Seeing how much we’ve grown and evolved over the years is truly rewarding. We are excited to share our story and celebrate this milestone with everyone.”
