Robert S. Johnson and Thomas L. Wade were recently recognized for their respective retirement from the Guardian Agency after 51 years of service on May 1 and May 31.

The agency dinner event was held at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel.

Always with a desire to be in the downtown Jamestown business district, the partners opened in a small office on West Second Street, then moved into the Furniture Mart Building, then across the street to the former Pearl City Building and finally purchased the agency’s current location at 513 West Third Street in 1991. During that time the agency grew from two employees to eight current representatives.

Both Johnson and Wade said that while each would miss the relationships created through their years with the agency – they were confident in the team that remains who will continue to serve their clients.
