Pease Named President Of Rural Health Group

The New York State Association for Rural Health has announced the appointment of Michael Pease as its new president.

Pease brings a wealth of experience to his role as president. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of The Chautauqua Center, a federally qualified health center with locations in Dunkirk and Jamestown. His educational background includes both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in healthcare administration, and he is also a registered nurse. Over the past 25 years, Pease has held various positions within healthcare organizations, contributing significantly in clinical and supervisory roles.

Notably, Pease has dedicated the past 15 years of his career to The Chautauqua Center and has been a driving force behind the center’s growth and success since its inception. His responsibilities have included the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive range of healthcare services. He thrives on change management, recognizing its critical role in helping organizations not only survive but flourish in the dynamic and high-pressure healthcare sector.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Pease is dedicated to personal and professional growth. He understands the importance of continual development in making a meaningful contribution to society. Pease has been an integral part of Chautauqua County for a significant portion of his life and currently resides in Cherry Creek with his wife, celebrating 23 years of marriage. He is deeply engaged in the community and actively participates on various local, regional, and national boards of directors.

In his free time, he enjoys the great outdoors and embraces an active lifestyle, reflecting his commitment to health and well-being.

The New York State Association for Rural Health is a not-for-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization working to preserve and improve the health of the citizens in rural New York State. NYSARH membership includes representatives of all facets of the rural health care industry, as well as individuals and students. On many different levels, NYSARH serves individuals, consumers, non-profit organizations, government agencies and officials, health care facilities, emergency medical service providers, long-term care organizations, businesses, universities, foundations, associations, and other stakeholders in rural health.
