Chamber To Honor Seven Businesses
Several area businesses and individuals will be honored by the Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce at its Salute to the Finest on Feb. 27.
Each year the Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce presents Salute to the Finest – an annual recognition of some of the local businesses, individuals, and organizations that make a difference in the community. The Salute to the Finest will honor the following:
¯ New Business of the Year – Southern Sails Junk Removal
¯ Restaurant of the Year – Tim Hortons of Jamestown & Olean
¯ Retailer of the Year – Everyday’s True Value
¯ Service to Humanity Award – Patrick Smeraldo
¯ Legacy Award – The Post-Journal
¯ Pride of Jamestown Award – Chuck DeAngelo
¯ Business of the Year – D & S Glass Service
“Our committee takes this job seriously and looks at the many people, businesses, and organizations that make up the fabric of our community,” said Carrie Swanson, Jamestown Community Chamber coordinator. “This year, all of these outstanding award selections bubbled to the top of the list because of their efforts to make the Jamestown area a better place to live and work.”
Salute to the Finest will be held at Northwest Arena, 319 W. Third St., from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27. The evening will include appetizers and a cash bar. It will begin with a cocktail hour, followed by the award presentations beginning at 6 p.m. The cost is $27 per person and advanced registration is requested by Feb. 21.
