City Native Is President Of PR Network

Jamestown native David Fuscus has been elected as the 31st president of the Public Relations Global Network at the organization’s global summit in Phoenix, Ariz.

PRGN is an international network with 53 agency members in 35 countries.

Fuscus is CEO of Xenophon Strategies, a communications and consulting company that he founded in 2000 headquartered in Washington, D.C.

“David Fuscus has long been a leader in the PR industry both in the United States and around the world,” said Gabor Jelnick, PRGN’s Budapest-based executive director. “He is an entrepreneur and business innovator whose international contacts and reputation makes him a perfect leader for PRGN.”

“Everything comes back to Jamestown where I first brushed up against the news industry as a paperboy for the Post Journal,” Fuscus said. “My parents owned The Casino in Bemus Point for almost three decades and my father Russ was a master promoter. Under his direction I wrote my first press releases for summer spectaculars like Big Flap which set a Guinness world record in 1982 for the most chicken wings consumed in a day.”

Fuscus’ first action as PRGN’s president was to set up and empower a technology working group to explore the next generation of technologies that will change the way the world communicates.

Fuscus is one of the nation’s leading crisis communications experts and has worked on major national and international crises for almost 30 years; 2020 has been called The Year of Crisis and Fuscus was recently honored by an all-journalist jury for the Best in Biz Awards as the 2020 Crisis Management Executive of the Year.

Fuscus is a serial entrepreneur and has founded numerous businesses including Xenophon Strategies, Cicero Media, Xenophon Analytics, Pacific Atlantic Partners and is the co-founder of the Global ESG Monitor. Fuscus graduated from Jamestown High School in 1978 and is the son of lifelong Jamestown residents Russell and JoAnn Fuscus. He lives in McLean, Va., with his wife Holly and is the proud father of William and Christopher Fuscus.
