A new option for beautification services has opened in downtown Jamestown. Nouveau Beauty Aesthetics hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, providing a sneak peek at all the expanded services they are bringing to the city.

Kara McAllister, the owner of Nouveau Beauty Aesthetics, said she previously offered cosmetic services through the Nouveau Salon and Spa, located next door to her new location at 19 Fourth St. in Jamestown. However, the demand for the services grew, which led to the opening of her own location.

Jamestown Mayor Eddie Sundquist was on hand to celebrate the ribbon-cutting, providing a special certificate recognizing the occasion from the city as he welcomed the opening of the new business. Sundquist was able to tour the facility and offered his thanks to McAllister for investing in the city.

Opening the business has been her dream, as it acts as an outlet for her passion to help others.

“I’m a nurse practitioner, and I have always enjoyed taking care of people and making them feel better,” she said. “I think it was growing up around the beauty industry that allowed me to go after that passion and combine the two together. Now, I get to treat people and make them feel good about themselves and how they feel about themselves. It truly has been a passion of mine.”

McAllister said she is excited to offer Jamestown area customers a variety of services that will help them look and feel their best.

“We will be offering cosmetic injectables, like Botox and derma filler to treat aging skin,” she said. “It’s also good for preventative therapy for the younger generation, so that’s been a large part of our population. We decided to expand and add on the skin care treatment portion so everyone can come and get their skin care taken care of in one place.”

Services available at the location include botox services, dermal filler services, facials, peels, dermaplaning, and microneedling.
