Urologist Offering Clinic At WMH

Dr. Burkhardt Zorn

WESTFIELD — Western New York residents experiencing urological issues will now be able to see an Allegheny Health Network urologist close to home at AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Burkhardt Zorn will see patients at an AHN Westfield clinic three Fridays each month in the Specialty Services Suite at AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital, 189 E. Main St., Westfield.

Zorn treats all aspects of male and female urology including bladder, renal and prostate cancers. He is trained in minor procedures as well as open and minimally invasive surgeries. Minor procedures can be done at Westfield Memorial Hospital and more complex surgeries will take place at AHN Saint Vincent in Erie.

Zorn is a graduate of West Point Military Academy. He earned a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He gained further training through a fellowship in neurourology at the University of Virginia Health and Science Center, in Charlottesville, Va.

“We are so pleased to be able to offer urology services to the communities of Western New York — right here at AHN Westfield Hospital,” said Karen Surkala, Westfield Memorial Hospital president. “This is another in a series of Allegheny Health Network initiatives to bring specialty services to this area so that patients don’t have to leave the community.”

According to Surkala, the hospital also provides clinics in cardiology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. The hospital also offers telemedicine specialty care, including rheumatology and endocrinology.

Patients who would like to make an appointment with Zorn should call 814-452-4214 and ask to be seen at AHN Westfield.
