RANDOLPH — New Directions Youth and Family Services closed out 2020 honoring several employees with the agency’s annual “Normative Awards”, recognizing employee excellence in the areas of safety, respect, responsibility, goal achievement, and teamwork.

At New Directions, the four norms or standards form the basis of all interactions, creating a guide for behavior across all settings. Employees uphold and assist children and families in living the norms. Selections are drawn from a yearlong pool of peer nominations. Local recipients of the 2020 Normative Awards are:

¯ Safety: Laurie Hurd, employee health coordinator,

¯ Responsibility: Vanessa Bradigan, individual caseworker,

¯ Teamwork: Health Services, Randolph Campus,

¯ Teamwork: Quarantine Group, Randolph Campus.

“Normative Awards are an important ritual in our organization”, said Jim Coder, New Directions chief executive officer. “We are happy to recognize the recipients’ efforts and dedication in providing excellent service to New Directions’ children and families.”

The 2020 honorees received commemorative plaques.
