Fieldbrook Foods’ expansion is continuing to chug along in Dunkirk.

“They are moving ahead with the expansion,” said Mark Geise, CEO of the Chautauqua County IDA. “Right now their biggest focus is reconfiguring internal space to accommodate the expansion.”

According to Geise, all ancillary infrastructure required to support production lines is underway and updating the substation and electrical is also taking place.

At this point no end date is known.

The $87 million expansion project began in September of 2019 and includes updates to the loading docks, internal improvements, access improvements, parking improvements and a new electrical substation.

In addition, the company will invest $7 million to acquire land and construct a power substation for the expansion at 115 Doughty St.
