Scott Enterprises Opens New Hotel In Erie

ERIE, Pa. — Erie-based hospitality group, Scott Enterprises, has opened its latest location. A brand-new Hampton Inn & Suites is welcoming overnight guests and travelers.

The new hotel features 94 guest rooms, 32 of which are studio-style suites, which are larger and more luxurious than a standard hotel room. These larger studio-style suites can accommodate up to four guests and are ideal for families or business travelers looking for extra space and amenities.

The hotel’s design will incorporate many pieces of art and photography that showcase the rich history and waterfront attractions that Erie is famous for. The crowning jewel of the new project, Oliver’s Rooftop restaurant and bar, will be Erie’s first and only rooftop restaurant and is expected to open in October. The original-concept restaurant pays homage to Oliver Hazzard Perry and will serve a variety of chef-created dishes with delicious seafood, savory steaks and creative dining options.

Perched eight stories above Erie’s beautiful Bayfront, Oliver’s Rooftop is being designed with incredible viewing vantage points of Presque Isle Bay provided by massive ten-foot tall glass windows. A retractable glass wall will also allow for open-air dining on the rooftop balcony in good weather.

The construction of Hampton Inn & Suites and Oliver’s Rooftop represents a $22 million investment in the new hotel, restaurant and infrastructure improvements on the developing site of Harbor Place. The Hampton Inn & Suites hotel is the initial phase of Scott Enterprises’ long-term vision to develop the area along Erie’s Bayfront into a mixed-use development named Harbor Place. Harbor Place will be built in multiple phases and will eventually include a second waterfront restaurant, office space, an extend-stay style hotel, retail shops, parking garage, a skating rink, water fountains, condominiums and apartments. Scott Enterprises will ultimately invest over $160 million into the project.
