LAKEWOOD – Attorney Paul V. Webb Jr., managing partner of the law firm of Erickson Webb Scolton and Hajdu in Lakewood has been named to the 2020 Upstate New York Super Lawyer list in the practice area of general litigation.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of exceptional lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. In each state, only 5% of the attorneys are selected as Super Lawyers. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process.

Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The objective is to create a comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers for legal counsel.

The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country.

Webb has been practicing law in the Jamestown area for more than 40 years and has also obtained an AV Preeminent Peer Rating from Martindale Hubble, which is the highest rating for legal and ethical standards that can be achieved. Webb has also served in numerous capacities in relation to the law, including being a member of the House of Delegates for the New York Bar Association for four years; serving on the Supreme Court Appellate Division, Fourth Department Attorney Grievance Committee for six years; and as president of the Jamestown Bar Association.

Additionally, Webb has served as town attorney for the towns of Carroll, Kiantone and Poland and as attorney for the village of Bemus Point.
