The Leadership Team at Wegmans, 945 Fairmount Ave., West Ellicott, is thanking the local community for “helping make a difference together. As we continue to weather this storm, remember we are CHQ strong.”

The team noted the following accomplishments:

¯ Wegmans just wrapped up its “Check Out Hunger” campaign, where customers helped raise $34,100 for FeedMore WNY. That, on top of the $623,000 donated by Wegmans, will help vulnerable people in the community. “We are proud to support the great work FeedMore WNY is doing to help those in crisis during this challenging time.”

¯ The West Ellicott store rolled out its new “Cart to Curb” program this week, in which Wegmans employees assist in completing Instacart curbside orders to ensure customers have the option to order groceries online if desired.

¯ The store is following the company and state directions on social distancing and “thank our customers for supporting our employees during this time.”
