Jamestown KeyBank Among 10 In WNY To Temporarily Close Monday

A Jamestown KeyBank is one of 10 in Western New York scheduled to temporarily close in the company’s efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Matthew Pitts, a KeyBank spokesman, confirmed that the Southside Plaza location next to Tops Markets at 730 Foote Ave. will temporarily close Monday. He said in all, 160 branches — about 15% of its branch networks — will close Monday due to COVID-19.

“Our primary focus is protecting our clients, employees and communities,” Pitts said. “The KeyBank branches affected will be closed until further notice as we continue to follow the advice of the CDC, state, and local authorities for best health practices in our branches and offices.

“Branches that remain open will continue to operate as drive-thru and by-appointment only to service our clients. KeyBank will continue to support our clients through all of our channels, including our online and mobile banking. Employees impacted by these changes will be re-deployed to nearby branches or to help with our client contact center call volume.”
