Young To Discuss Food At Incubator

DUNKIRK — The Fredonia Technology Incubator is hosting Cornell University’s Cathy Young to discuss entrepreneurial opportunities in the food, beverage and agricultural sector on Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the FTI conference room located at 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

Young is the director of the New York State Center of Excellence for Food and Agriculture at Cornell AgriTech. Seating is limited and registration is required. To register, go to foodincubatorkickoff.eventbrite.com.

The event will cover opportunities in the food, beverage and agricultural sector. It will also introduce food and safety resources, services, partnerships and Grow New York’s food and agricultural business competition for startups. Young will also talk about her role at Cornell AgriTech. The event also serves as an introduction to services and support for food related startups at the Fredonia Technology Incubator.

Prior to her role at Cornell AgriTech, Young served in the state Legislature for almost two decades, including six years in the state Assembly and 13 years as a state Senator.
