Heritage Names Regional Manager

Jeremy Rutter, Heritage vice president of skilled nursing operations, has announced that Mark Smeltzer has been named the regional manager of skilled nursing operations.

A graduate of Grove City College with bachelor degree in business management, Smeltzer also earned his bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Slippery Rock University in 2014 and has extensive experience in the senior care industry, previously serving as the director of operations and administrator of multiple senior living communities in Western New York. Most recently, Smeltzer served as a financial analyst for the Heritage Ministries Management Company and the administrator of record at The Park, a Heritage rehabilitation and skilled nursing community in Jamestown.

“I am excited to be able to continue serving the residents and staff at Heritage in this new capacity,” Smeltzer said. “It is an honor to be able to continue to build on the excellent care we provide and to continue to develop new and innovative ways to promote hope, dignity and purposeful living to all of the residents entrusted to our care.”

Smeltzer will provide operation oversight of Heritage rehabilitation and skilled nursing communities in Western New York and Pennsylvania to guide compliance with all federal and state regulations, and will work to promote Heritage’s mission through continuing to ensure the highest level of care is provided for those entrusted to their care.
