Douglas Appointed Director Of Morse Funeral Home

BROCTON — Douglas W. Sanderson, a state licensed funeral director and a native of Westfield, has been welcomed as the funeral director and licensed manager of the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton following the retirement of Gerald Newman, who had been the funeral home manager since the untimely death of Kenneth Merle in 2011.

It has been the mission of the Morse Funeral Home to provide a meaningful, personalized, compassionate service to the families that they serve in a dignified and respectful manner.

Sanderson is a 1983 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School where he was active in athletics and music.

He continued his education at the American Academy-McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City where he received his associate degree in occupational studies-funeral service, where he earned top honors in his class.

Sanderson is no stranger to funeral services, he has worked in the funeral profession in various capacities since he was 16 years old and has always had a passion for helping others in their time of need.
