Silver Tree Residential Takes Over Six Locations

Silver Tree Residential LLC of Memphis, Tenn., has taken over management of six affordable senior housing properties in Jamestown and Falconer.

Included in the September acquisition were Westerberg Tower, located at 145 Chandler St. in Jamestown; Anderson Manor, located at 8 Crane St. in Jamestown; Anderson Tower, located at 9 Crane St. in Jamestown; Carlson Tower, located at 842 N. Main St. in Jamestown; Methodist Gardens, located at 430 E. Ave. in Falconer; and Woodward Park, located at 55-79 Grace Circle in Falconer. These properties make up the Silvertree Seniors of Jamestown portfolio.

Silver Tree Residential provides property management service to nearly 7,000 residents of senior and family apartment homes in nearly 50 communities across the country. Silvertree Seniors of Jamestown is the management company’s first portfolio in Chautauqua County.

At the head of Silvertree Seniors of Jamestown is property manager and long-time Jamestown resident Mel Mason, who has been overseeing a variety of improvements since the properties were purchased.

“Our company specializes in managing affordable housing buildings for senior citizens, and that’s certainly reflected in the way we consistently maintain and improve our sites,” Mason stated. “At Westerberg Tower, we have begun adding offices for additional staff, and are in the process of updating the common areas and apartments to appeal to our current residents and future applicants.”

The primary goal of Silver Tree Residential and Silvertree Seniors of Jamestown is to provide the best quality housing possible to their residents, with safe, quiet and amenity-filled communities.

“What we want seniors in our community to know is that there are affordable housing options out there to suit their budgets and lifestyles,” Mason said. “Too often, seniors are dealing with high rent, expensive heating costs, and lack of companionship. At Silvertree, we’re striving to build senior communities that are affordable and enjoyable for our residents while they maintain their independence.”

Aside from offering affordable housing for seniors, age 62 and over, and those who are mobility-impaired, Silvertree Seniors of Jamestown also employs two Service Coordinators to help residents age-in-place, help with Medicare questions, bill-paying, SNAP eligibility and more. They also have 24/7 maintenance staff, heat included at most locations, recreation areas, community activities, and are pet-friendly with some restrictions.

“The peace-of-mind of having a family member or friend in their golden years living in a building that caters to seniors is unbeatable,” Mason said. “Between activities, secured-access entry, snow-removal and in-house maintenance, it takes a huge burden of worry off our residents and their loved ones concerned about living alone.”

The main office of Silvertree Seniors of Jamestown is located at 145 Chandler St. in Jamestown. For more information or to schedule a tour of any of our locations, contact leasing specialists Liz Caldwell or Jennifer Cooper at 258-7011, ext. 2.
