Jr. Achievement Hires Coordinator
Junior Achievement of WNY Inc. has hired Rebecca Johnson to the part-time position of program coordinator for Chautauqua County.
Johnson is a graduate of the State University at Fredonia with a bachelor of arts in psychology.
Currently, Cathy Moots is the district area manager for Junior Achievement in Chautauqua County, though Moots has recently made the decision to retire.
“I am excited to welcome Rebecca to the JAWNY staff and confident that the Chautauqua community will welcome and embrace her enthusiasm of Junior Achievement’s mission and her desire to sustain all of Cathy’s hard work and look for opportunities to increase JA program throughout Chautauqua County school districts,” said Laurie Mahoney, Junior Achievement of Western New York president. “As the demand for JA programs in Chautauqua County grows, JAWNY must have the capacity to meet this demand. The recruitment of significantly more volunteers is key to supporting this growth.”
The program coordinator position will provide support to sustain the Junior Achievement programs delivered in the southern Chautauqua County region, as well as identify and support growth opportunities throughout the entire county.
