Tap House To Open

On Monday at 3 p.m., Ye Olde Ed-N-Jen’s Tap House will be opening its doors for the first time.

Located at 792 Busti-Sugar Grove Road south of Jamestown, the tap house and restaurant will offer quality food and drinks in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. They will serve craft beer and wine, brand name drinks and have a bar menu available for patrons. In addition to their beverage and food selections, the Tap House will have entertainment available throughout the week — ranging from local bands to pool leagues — with details posted on their Facebook page.

Business owners, David and Maryann Attard, purchased what used to be New Beginnings restaurant in late 2015 with hopes of turning it into a tap house. The business had previously changed hands a few times and unfortunately the interior and exterior of the business were neglected. The Attards took on the challenge of a complete renovation to the interior and exterior of the establishment. With the help of friends and family, David Attard did the renovations, bringing new life and more attention to a forgotten business.

For the Attards, it has always been a dream to open a local tap house and be a part of the growing popularity of tap house and micro-brewery industry. It is also an opportunity to work together and secure their future.

“I am looking forwards to the stability that being a business owner will provide,” said David Attard. “We have worked together in the past and we loved it and have wanted to work together again.”

An unexpected, but welcome surprise for the Attards has been the local community’s overwhelming support as they renovated the property. Excitement is building in the community to see an “olde” establishment made new. Now, it’s time for everyone to come out and visit Ye Olde Ed-N-Jen’s Tap House.

Funding for Ye Olde Ed-N-Jen’s was partially provided by Chautauqua Opportunities for Development, Inc.
