Cassadaga Job Corps Adds To Management

CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga Job Corps Academy has announced the addition of Randall Golden and promotion of Patrick Stivers to senior management positions.

Golden is a new hire as the human resources manager while Stivers was an in-house promotion into the role of records and data integrity manager.

Golden will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the academy’s Human Resources Department, staff recruitment, hiring and training. He has several years of human resources experience having previously been a manager for two other companies in the area. He holds a degree in accounting from Morrisville College.

”I really enjoy the opportunity in HR to help an individual launch a career and then watch it grow, as they realize their full potential,” Golden said. ”It is very rewarding. It is exciting to work with our students and help them learn the tools they will need to become successful in life.”

Stivers has worked for Cassadaga Job Corps since 2003 and has previously worked as a residential advisor, recreation specialist and recreation manager.

”(I’m) looking forward to the challenge presented by the multitasking and constant changes that come along with the records department, there is always something coming up, and that is when I thrive,” Strivers said.

In his role in the records department, Stivers is responsible for the daily oversight of the department, student travel and ensuring student records are complete and accurate. In addition, he is responsible for ensuring that all records and reports are compliant with federal and company standards, completing internal audits and providing information requested for external audits.

”I love giving hope to our students for the future,” said Strivers, who holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts illustration from the State University of New York at Fredonia.

”Both of these men bring great character, integrity, and work ethic to our academy,” said Ann Anderson, academy director. ”Randy has fully immersed himself in job corps and has quickly established rapport with our staff. Patrick brings so much energy and enthusiasm into his job, I am certain he will deliver services from his department at a very high level.”
