Prendergast Library Offers Winter Break Activities The James Prendergast Library will offer several special activities for children and teenagers during the upcoming winter break. On Dec. 23, the library will host a Nightlight/Fiber Optic Lamp craft from 3 to 4 p.m. for children ages 6-12 and a Felt Succulent Craft from 5 to 6 p.m. for those ages 12 to 18. BPU Announces Christmas, New Year’s Hours The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Customer Service and offices will be closed for Christmas on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25. For New Year’s, offices will be closed on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Garbage and recycling for Dec. 23-28 and Dec. 30-Jan. 4 will be delayed by one day, starting with Christmas Day and New Year’s Day when Wednesday collections occur on Thursdays.
