Audubon Little Explorers To Meet Jan. 11 The Audubon Community Nature Center’s Little Explorers meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, to learn about winter wetlands. Some animals go dormant or hibernate and some migrate, leaving for warmer climates. Others have thick fur or find other ways to keep warm while remaining active throughout the winter. BPU Announces Christmas, New Year’s Hours The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Customer Service and offices will be closed for Christmas on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25. For New Year’s, offices will be closed on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Garbage and recycling for Dec. 23-28 and Dec. 30-Jan. 4 will be delayed by one day, starting with Christmas Day and New Year’s Day when Wednesday collections occur on Thursdays.
