Jamestown School Board To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Public Schools District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at C.C. Ring Elementary School, 333 Buffalo St, Jamestown. There will be video presentations beginning at 5:45p.m. showcasing Ring programs and activities. The public is welcome to attend.
Audubon To Hold First Sunday Story Time Oct. 4
The Audubon Community Nature Center will hold its monthly First Sunday Story Time from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, for children ages 3 to 8 and a guardian. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. The program and building admission are both free. Story time is led by Claire Certo. After story time, those attending can visit with live animals, exhibits and Blue Heron Gift Shop indoors as well as go outside to see resident birds of prey, walk the trails, and have fun in the outdoor Nature Play Area. Reservations are requested by Saturday, Oct. 3, by calling 716-569-2345 or go to AudubonCNC.org/October-first-sunday. Participation is limited to 15, walk-ins are welcome if there is room.
Hazeltine Library To Host Card-Making Classes Starting Oct. 5
BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will host card-making classes taught by Elaine Lampropolos starting Monday, Oct. 5, and continuing Nov. 2 and Dec. 7. Each class will begin at 1 p.m. and all materials will be supplied. “We are pleased Elaine reached out to us and offered to share her talent and expertise with us,” said Katie Smith, library director. “She has held these classes around the area for several years and everyone who participates leaves with a personally created greeting card or two. These make wonderful keepsakes and a great way to share special memories.” There is limited seating; reservations are appreciated but drop ins are welcome. For reservations or more information call the library at 716-487-1281. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road. There is off-street parking and the library is handicapped-accessible. The library is a member of the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System.
Mayville Tuesday Club To Meet Tuesday
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Library Tuesday Club will continue its 131st year when meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at the library. The speaker will be Michelle Henry, who will be talking about the history of Midway Park.
North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District Board To Meet Monday
MAYVILLE – The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Carlson Center, Lakeside Park, Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.
