Reg Lenna To Screen Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World
The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen the film Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30. The film considers the poet's long lifetime of work in context, capturing the uniqueness of her world and the natural beauty that inspired her. The documentary features interviews with her close friends, including John Waters, never-before-seen personal photos, notebooks, and correspondence from her archive, and recitations of her work by Stephen Colbert, Lucy Dacus, Steve Buscemi, and Oprah Winfrey. Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World is unrated and is 91 minutes long. Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online (reglenna.com) and by phone at 716-484-7070. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The theater and box office at The Reg are located at 116 E. Third St., Jamestown. The box office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before movies and events.
Pine Hill Cemetery Holding Fall Cleanup
FALCONER – Lot owners at Pine Hill Cemetery are asked to remove all summer decorations from Pine Hill Cemetery grave sites by Oct. 15. Any remaining items after that date will be discarded.
City Zoning Board Of Appeals Meeting Canceled
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals for October has been cancelled due to a lack of agenda items. The board’s next meeting will be held in November.
