Blood Drive Is Sept. 24 At Chautauqua Mall
LAKEWOOD – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Chautauqua Mall, 318 E. Fairmount Ave. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Bemus Point Library To Host Writing Workshop
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Library is offering a free writing workshop on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The workshop is designed for writers of all levels, with virtual and in-person options. Gabrielle Esposito, the presenter, is a librarian by day and a writer as well. She is a writing instructor and a published short story author. Falconer Village Board To Hold Special Meeting Thursday
FALCONER – The Falconer Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Community Building board room, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, to discuss Peak Development's requested extension of a purchase and sale agreement for property in the village. The public is welcome to attend.
Outdoor Club To Ride, Hike Knox Kane Trail Sunday
On Sunday, Sept. 27, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes or hike on the Knox Kane bike trail from Chafee to Lamont, 16 miles total. The group will meet at Musante Street, Warren at 1:30 p.m. or at 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 948 and Route 66, past Russell City, Pa. Tom Patterson will be the leader of the activity.
