County IDA Board To Meet Sept. 22

The Chautauqua CoIndustrial Development Agency board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in the Center for Innovation & Economic Development, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk, in the first floor conference room. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will also be live streamed on YouTube.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Board To Meet

PORTLAND – The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Board of Directors will meet on Monday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at Cornell Lake Erie Research in Portland. The public is welcome to attend.

Assemblyman To Attend Sept. 22 TEA Party Patriots Meeting

Assemblyman Andrew Molitor, R-Westfield, will be featured at the next meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Patriots on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road, Busti. County legislators Fred Larson and Fred Johnson will address the group together on county fiscal issues, like the debate on what to do with the reserve fund. Finally, Randy Barber will update the group on election integrity.

East Otto Historical Museum Open Sept. 20, Sept. 27

EAST OTTO – The East Otto Historical Museum will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, and Sunday, Sept. 27. Special appointments can be arranged by calling 716-257-0654 as long as weather permits. The museum is housed in the town's oldest building (built in 1833) and according to Cattaraugus County's historian, believed to be the oldest building in Cattaraugus County. Built as a Baptist Church, the building was built pre-Civil War and pre-East Otto. The museum is located next to the East Otto Fire Hall at 8982 Reed Hill Road, East Otto.

Panama School Board To Meet Monday

PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

Route 606 In Mina To Close For Construction Starting Monday

County Public Facilities crews will be working on county Route 606 in Mina between School Street and the Interstate 86 Overpass. The road will be closed beginning Monday, Sept. 21. The project is expected to be completed within four to five days. A detour will be posted.
