Prescott DAR Chapter Holds Picnic At Founder's Grave Site
FREDONIA – The Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution held their annual 'Picnic in the Cemetery with Founder, Jennie Prescott' at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Fredonia with eight members gathered at the grave of Jennie Prescott. The group brought lawn chairs and had lunch under the trees. The next chapter meeting will be at 4 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Barker Library in Fredonia. Anyone who is over the age of 18 and had an ancestor who fought or gave aid to the soldiers that fought and won the American Revolutionary War and would like to join can call Barbara Pietro at 716-392-1166 or email at jbpietro@gmail.com.
