Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet Today
MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet for a pot luck lunch today, Sept. 3, at the Mayville VFW. Those attending are asked to attend the board meeting after the luncheon.
Christian Women's Group To Meet Sept. 8
The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women, Village Missions Country Partners will meet at noon Tuesday, Sept. 8, at ReaLife Church, 556 E. Second St., Jamestown. Pastor Tim Smart and Kerri Smart will speak and perform music. Lunch is $7 with coffee and tea provided. Village Missions donations support training for pastors to serve in rural churches with absent pastors or establishing new churches in rural areas of the United States with no church at all in its community. Kiantone Congregational Church To Host 9/11 Service
Kiantone Congregational Church will host a service of remembrance, awareness and prayerfulness at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The church is located at 646 Kiantone Road, Kiantone. The public is welcome to participate.

Quilt Guild To Meet Wednesday
BUSTI – The Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild will meet Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Busti 5 Corners Community Church in Busti. Refreshments are available from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. The program, "Organizing your Quilting Space," is being presented by Birgit Hanson. Membership cards for 2026 are now available which may be used to get a discount at select quilt shops. Parking is available at the church and across the street at the fire department. Visitors are welcome.
Dunkirk Art In Recovery Exhibit Is Open Friday
DUNKIRK - Friday, September 4, is the Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County's (MHA) 2026 Dunkirk Art in Recovery Exhibit, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 601 Eagle St. The show will feature a variety of works created by participants in the weekly Art in Recovery group facilitated by Wing, an MHA volunteer. The works are artistic expressions of the participants' own creativity and personal recovery. The public is welcome to the free exhibit made possible in part by support from the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County Projects Pool Grants Program. Light refreshments will be served. The MHA's Jamestown 2026 Art in Recovery Exhibit is Friday, Sept. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the undercroft of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St.
